Fall Classes
Wow! Can you believe the school year is already here? With our elementary aged friends heading back into the classroom, we wanted to give an opportunity for our preschoolers to learn new things here at the Hangout. We’re excited to offer two new classes in our Fall lineup.
Our Preschool STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) class will be a fun and interactive way for our friends to learn more about the world around them, foster creativity and problem solving, and work together with peers. Each class will feature challenges centered around a specific theme.
Our Preschool Early Literacy class will be a great way for emerging readers to learn necessary skills for pre-reading. Each class will focus on letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and comprehension skills.
Both of these 45 minute classes are geared towards our friends ages 3-5 and will take place weekly for four weeks. They will be led by our Program Director, Alana Calendine (M.Ed.).
Please note that when you register for these classes, you’ll be registering for the entire 4 week session. If you cannot make it for all the weeks, please save that spot for someone else. Registration will close August 30th so that we can adequately prepare class materials.
- Preschool Early Literacy: Tuesdays - Aug 31-Sept 21 - 11:00am
- Preschool STEM: Fridays - Sept 3 - Sept 24 - 11:00am
Tickets are $10/class ($40/session) for non-members & $5/class ($20/session) for members.
To register, click the Come and Play tab and select the first day of the class you’re interested in on the calendar. Select “Classes” and click on the name of the class to complete registration.
Per CDC guidelines, masks are highly encouraged for all our friends, regardless of vaccine status.
